How to Draw a Great Looking Boy for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. To begin the cartoon boy outline, draw the boy's face. Use a curved line for the side of the face. Use shorter lines for the cheeks, nose, and mouth.

Above each cheek, enclose three successively smaller circles. These are the boy's eyes. Shade between the smallest circles to indicate the pupils. Shade a curved shape above each eye to form the eyebrows.

2. Use a series of curved lines to outline the hair and the ears, including the contours inside the ears.

3. Complete the hair using curved lines that meet at gentle points.

4. Draw a "U" shaped line at the base of the head to form the next. From each side of the neck, extend curved lines to form the shoulders and sleeves of the t-shirt.

Then, use curved vertical lines for the sides of the torso. Decorate the top of the shirt with a wavy "M" shaped line.

5. Use overlapping curved lines for the arm. Then, draw a thumbs up sign, using overlapping curved lines and ovals.

6. Complete the shirt with a curved line, and contour the fabric with another. Then use curved lines to draw the remaining arm.

End the arm with a short line, indicating that the boy's hand is hidden away in his pocket.

7. Draw the boy's shorts using rounded rectangle shapes. Contour the fabric with short curved lines.

8. Use curved lines to enclose the irregular shapes of the leg and shoe. Then, use more curved lines to contour the knee and demarcate the top of the sock, the tongue of the shoe, and the shoe's sole.
