6. Draw straight, diagonal lines across the side triangle. They should match up with the horizontal lines on the pyramid's face. Draw straight lines between them.

Color Your Pyramid Drawing
Color your cartoon pyramid. When originally completed, the pyramids of Egypt were encased in smooth, white limestone. Today, these casings are gone and the pyramids appear tan or sand-colored.
Then, complete the scene with a camel and plenty of Egyptian artifacts!

Learn More About The Pyramid Drawing
A pyramid is "a monumental structure" with triangular sides. In ancient Egypt, the pyramids were used as burial places for royalty.
The Pyramids of Giza are the largest and most famous of Egypt's pyramids. The ruins are located on a rocky plateau west of the Nile River.
They were considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Great Pyramid was built about 481 feet (147 meters) tall and 755 feet (230 meters) wide at its base - "possibly the most colossal single building ever erected on the planet."
Pyramids were not limited to Egypt, however. They have also been discovered in such diverse regions as Sudan, Ethiopia, Greece, Italy, Indian, Thailand, Mexico, and South America.
Not all pyramids look like the classic Egyptian variety. Many were step pyramids, a series of platforms rising like steps to form the triangular shape.
