1. Begin your sad dog outline by drawing its large, sad eyes. Enclose two irregular round shapes, and shade a partial circle in each. Draw a short curved line above each eye.

2. Sketch the snout and mouth using a curved "W" shaped line and enclose the irregular nose. Draw three small dots on each side of the nose.

3. Draw a short line between the snout and the eye. From the eye, extend a long curved line to form the forehead.
At the top of the head, draw a tuft of fur using curved lines that meet at sharp points. Then, draw the dog's floppy ear using a long curved line.

4. Enclose the cartoon puppy's remaining ear using a long curved line. Then, draw a curved line above the eye for the brow, at the side of the eye, and overlapping to form the baggy skin of the neck.
