How to Draw a Great Looking Ukulele for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the ukulele outline by sketching the instrument's body. Use a long curved line to outline the peanut-shaped frame of the guitar. Draw a circle to indicate the soundhole.

2. Draw a long curved line from the top of the body to the bottom, giving the instrument a three-dimensional appearance. Draw a small oval at the bottom.

From the opening at the top of the body, extend two straight lines to form the neck.

3. Draw a curved line connecting the lines of the neck at the bottom, and a straight line connecting them at the top.

Draw another straight line parallel to the neck, and connect it to the side of the ukulele using a short straight line.

4. Use a series of curved and straight lines to outline the headstock at the top of the neck.

5. Draw the tuners at the side of the headstock. For each, enclose a shape like a small oval intersecting a larger one. Draw lines parallel to the headstock to give it a three-dimensional shape.

6. Draw the tuners on the other side of the headstock. Finish the side of the headstock with a curved line.

7. Draw a rectangle near the bottom of the ukulele body. This is the saddle that holds the strings. On the headstock, draw a circle within a circle beside each tuner.

8. Band the neck with straight lines and place small ovals between some of them. These are the frets that allow you to play different notes.
