Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing the Wind
How to Draw a Great Looking Wind for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin by drawing the ground and the trunk of the tree. Use a series of curved lines to draw the ground or horizon line. Notice how short lines meet at points to give the ground a grassy texture. Then, draw the tree trunk. Use parallel curved lines for the upright portion, and overlapping curved lines for the roots. Note, too, the curve of the trunk - a product of the strong winds.

2. Draw branches and lengthen the trunk of the tree. Use pairs of curved lines for each branch. Draw a small bunch of leaves at the end of one branch, using curved lines to form the uneven shape.

3. Begin drawing the leafy crown of the tree. Use a series of curved lines to form the cloudlike shape.

4. Complete the tree's crown. Use curved lines to complete the irregular shape. Then, begin drawing curved lines to indicate the invisible motion of the wind. Use lines of various lengths. Note the spiral at the leading edge of one line.

5. Draw clouds in the sky. Use a straight line for the bottom of each cloud, then enclose the top using a series of curved lines.

6. Complete the clouds. Then, draw more lines to indicate the wind, with spiral shapes on the leading edge. The lines can cross over the tree.

8. Draw more windy curved lines. Notice how they form a circular shape but do not connect. Then, draw some leaves blowing in the wind. For each leaf, draw a curved line for the stem and vein. Then, use curved lines that meet at a point to enclose the leaf.
