You too can easily draw an Alligator or Crocodile following the simple steps.
Learn how to draw a great looking Alligator or Crocodile with step-by-step drawing instructions, and video tutorial.
Begin by drawing two overlapping ovals, one smaller than the other. These shapes will form the alligator's head and body.
Connect ovals with curved line for alligator's neck; detail top of head with short curved lines; larger curves form eye ridges.
Draw top of snout with curves, underside with wavy line and jaw with long curved line.
Extend two long, curved lines from the larger oval to form the alligator's tail. Notice that the lines meet in a sharp point.
Draw curved lines from tip and side of tail to form a bend and 3D look.
Draw legs using "U"s, curve lines for hips and knees, and shade triangles for claws.
Erase the guide lines left by the original ovals.
Outline alligator's face, then add teeth, nostril, corner of mouth, top of snout, eyes with pupils.
Texture the alligator's body: Rib the belly with curved lines and texture back and tail with shaded triangle spikes.
