how to draw the American Flag step-by-step

Draw two close, parallel lines and a small circle on top to create a flag pole.

Extend two curved lines outward from the flagpole. The lines should be roughly parallel.

Draw a curved line to connect the previous lines and create the first fold of the waving flag.

A short, diagonal line connecting the bottom corners creates a curved triangle, representing a fold in the flag.

Connect a curved line from the curved triangle and top corner to enclose the waving flag.

Using two slightly curved lines, enclose a square shape at the top corner of the flag, near the flagpole.

Draw parallel lines that represent the thirteen original colonies on the American flag and add visible stripes on the fold.

Complete the stripes on the final portion of the waving flag, again using twelve curved lines to create the thirteen stripes.

Draw rows of small stars in the square, alternating between five and six, representing the fifty states.
