Draw an irregular pentagon and zigzag line to create a hand reference, using two short lines for the bottom corners.
Extend a long curved line from one corner of the pentagon and double it back upon itself. This will become the pointer finger.
The second curved line should be doubled back from the first and centered over the pentagon's upper point.
Draw two more curved lines, doubled back upon themselves, to form the ring and pinky fingers.
Use curved lines to contour the side of the hand, the wrist, and the thumb.
Trace the hand's lines, add a curved side, and detail the palm and thumb with short lines.
Erase the remaining guidelines from the hand. Contour the joints of the fingers with short lines.
