how to draw a Chameleon step-by-step

Draw a curved line to outline the open-headed chameleon, then add in a small overlap for the lips and a curved mouth line.

Use two long curved lines to outline the chameleon's body. Notice how the top line extends, forming the top of the tail.

Form a spiral pattern by curving the lines around each other, leading to a rounded point.

Outline the chameleon's rear leg and foot with a long, curved line that creates two "U" shaped toes.

Use a long, curved line to outline the front leg and foot. Again, note how the line doubles back upon itself to form the toes.

Draw the chameleon's eyes by adding a large circle with a smaller one and shading, then two curved lines and a small oval.

Erase any guide lines from the lizard's head and legs.

Draw stripes on the chameleon's back and tail. For each stripe, use two wavy lines that meet in a sharp point.

Draw a tree branch with parallel curved lines for the chameleon to stand on and enclose its far legs.
