Begin by drawing a narrow vertical rectangle. This will form the base or central upright stake of the cross.

Draw another, slightly smaller, rectangle within the first.

Draw another, slightly smaller, rectangle within the horizontal rectangle.

Erase the guidelines from the outer edges of the cross, giving it a solid outline.

Draw slanted straight lines within and around a cross to outline sections of stained glass.

Draw straight lines within the upper and lower portions of the upright pale. Enclose irregular shapes, outlining the cut glass.

Create a rectangular frame and fill it with small rectangles and squares in various sizes.

Completely fill in the large rectangle with smaller rectangles and squares to finish the stained glass window.
