Begin by drawing a circle. This will form the donkey's head.
Add two lower circles for donkey's shoulders and hips to guide body sketch.
Outline donkey's mouth with curved lines by extending the upper and lower lip from the first circle.
Connect each of the circles using long curved lines, outlining the neck, back, and stomach.
Draw legs extending from the shoulders and hips, with curved lines for knees and ankles and hooves at the bottom.
Sketch large "U" shaped ears with jagged point tuft of mane between them, and curved mane down the neck.
Erase the guide lines left over from the original circles.
Outline far legs with two curved lines for hooves, then add sharp pointed lines above to enclose teardrop tail with hairy tuft.
For the donkey's features, draw curved lines for the ears, a nostril, a large eye with a small pupil, and a tiny circle.
