Learn how to draw a great looking Maple Leaf with step-by-step drawing  instructions, and video tutorial.

Draw the leaf margin with curved lines that meet at sharp/gentle points; the maple leaf is lobed/lacerate.

Draw curved lines that meet at points to form mirrored lobes on the opposite side of the leaf.

Continue drawing the side of the leaf, curving the lines to meet at sharp points.

Continue to draw the opposite side of the leaf. Again, use curved lines that meet at sharp points to form the jagged lobes.

Draw curved lines meeting at sharp points to form the double dentate shape of the upper lobes.

Connect sharp points with curving lines to form the top tip of the leaf outline.

Trace curved veins radiating from the bottom of the leaf up to the tip of each lobe, with the midrib in the middle.

Draw short curved lines extending from the veins in "V" shapes. These are called secondary veins.

Draw the stem from the point of the veins, and add secondary veins to texture the leaves.
