Draw a downward-facing "D" for the nutcracker's face.
Draw a circle with a smaller circle inside it for the collar, then attach a rectangle with four sides for the body.
Draw a curve, then flat rounded shape below the body; draw two diagonal, rounded rectangles as tails.
Draw a rounded triangle with curved lines, enclose rectangles on the ends of the arms, and a curved line for each hand.
Draw the legs using a continuous curved line, or several; it should roughly resemble an upside down letter "U."
Below the legs, draw the boots using a long, curved line to enclose each irregular shape.
Erase guide lines as necessary.
Draw curved brim, rounded square, hairline, and two sets of diagonals on chest.
Draw circles for eyes, curved "U" line for nose, pointy mustache, square-within-square for buckle, parallel lines with circles for chest.
