Begin by drawing a circle to form the octopus's head.
Draw two curved, "S" shaped lines from the circle to form the octopus' first arm.
Draw two pairs of curves from the circle, one overlapping the arm; connect at rounded points.
Erase the guide lines from where the arms connect to the body.
Extend two more sets of curved lines that will meet in soft points at the end. This forms the fourth and fifth arms.
Draw three more sets of curving, wavy lines. Allow each set to meet in gentle points. Your octopus now has all eight arms.
Erase the remaining guide lines from the arms.
Draw ovals of decreasing size from body to end of arms. These ovals form the octopus' suction cups.
Draw ovals for eyes, pupils, & a curved line with side branch (mouth). Shade eyes.
