Draw two horizontal lines with curved ends, connected by a perpendicular line and a short line at the top.
Draw a straight diagonal line, then curve it in at the bottom to outline a scarecrow head.
Erase the guide lines from the head, as well as the top of the crossbeam.
Outline the scarecrow's jacket. On each side of the upright beam, use long, curved lines to enclose sideways "L" shapes.
Draw curved lines to form a bell-shaped hat; add a curved line to divide the brim and body of the hat.
Erase guide lines from the hat and jacket.
Draw hatband, hair, jacket stitches, straw, and grass.
Erase any remaining guide lines.
Draw the eyes, nose & mouth; collar on jacket; add a small upside down triangle beneath head.
