how to draw a Sword step-by-step

Begin by drawing a long, narrow rectangle slanted at a diagonal angle. This will help you to sketch the blade of the sword.

Create a perpendicular rectangle as the guard for the handle of the sword.

Create a narrower rectangle parallel to the first to serve as the sword's handle.

Include guidelines, drawing lines for blade, fuller, curved lines for cross-guard and pommel.

Draw curved lines within the rectangle at the sides of the cross-guard. Outline a small rectangle at the top of the grip.

Draw a narrow rectangle at the base of the blade, and "U" shaped lines around the pommel.

Draw curved lines across the top of the cross-guard and at the ends of the rectangle on the grip.

Erase guide lines from the sword's handle as pictured.

Draw curved lines across the grip, at the bottom of the blade, and along the bottom of the cross-guard.
