Learn how to draw a great looking Trumpet with easy, step-by-step drawing  instructions, and video tutorial.

Begin by drawing a narrow vertical oval. This forms the opening of the trumpet's bell.

Draw a curved line from the top of the oval that spirals around to form the bell and pipe of the brass instrument.

Draw a curved line from the bottom to the top of the oval, creating the slide and mouthpiece pipe.

Draw a curved line, making an "L" shape, then draw a second "L" facing opposite direction below first; connect with curved line.

Draw two crossed lines in middle of trumpet, connect ends with curves to form first of three valve castings.

Draw two vertical parallel lines on the back of the trumpet and connect them with short lines to form a valve; draw another valve.

Erase overlapping lines. Then, draw the third valve. Use straight, vertical lines and connect them on the ends.

Draw piston valves or keys at top of valve castings: Extend parallel lines, connect with a partial oval shape.

Draw a small oval within the bell, short lines from it, a curved line across neck and mouthpiece, and ovals across valves.
