Begin by drawing a circle. This will become Yoshi's snout or nose.
Draw curved lines to form an oval around the snout and add two curved lines for the nostrils, erasing guide lines as needed.
Add two "M"-shaped lines and a curved line for Yoshi's eye ridges.
Draw an oval within an oval to detail each eye. Use curved lines to enclose half circles on the back of Yoshi's head.
Use curved lines to outline Yoshi's chest, arm, and fist. Notice how the curved lines of the bent fingers overlap.
Draw a curved line to enclose Yoshi's back, then sketch his turtle shell/saddle with curved, rounded lines.
