1. Begin the dandelion puff outline by drawing an oval. This is the head of the flower. Then, extend a curved line from each side. Between them, use pairs of curved lines that meet at sharp points to draw the sepals - small green leaves that surround the flower.

2. Extend parallel curved lines below the sepals to form the stem. Then, begin drawing the seeds attached to the flower head, erasing as necessary. For each seed, draw a small teardrop shape.

3. Draw more seeds around the outside of the seed head. Then, extend three long curved lines from some of the seeds. These are the first of the seed stalks.
At the top of each one, draw curved lines in a starburst pattern. This is called the pappus, and it acts like a parachute, catching the wind.
