1. Begin the weightlifting outline by drawing the man’s face. Outline the front of the face, chin, and ear using a curved line.

3. Continue to use curved lines to draw the muscular arms and torso, completing the upper arm and beginning the second. Then use curved lines to craft the bottom of the hand, thumb, and palm.

4. Draw the thumb and palm of the remaining hand. Then, use parallel lines to draw the bar between them and on each side of them. Use overlapping curved lines to complete the fingers on top of the bar.

5. Use curved and straight lines to enclose a large, squat cylinder on each end of the bar. Extend the bar past the weight on the near side.
Then detail the weights with small ovals around the bar and bands of curved lines.
