How to Draw a Dump Truck

1. Begin the dump truck outline by drawing a series of straight and curved lines to form the cab of the truck and its front wheel well.

2. Enclose an irregular shape on the side of the cab to form the door. Draw a rectangle to indicate the side of the front bumper, then finish the wheel well with a "C" shaped line.

3. Draw a triangle and two rectangles to detail the door's handle and windows. Draw two horizontal rectangles below the door. Then, inside the wheel well, draw a circle within a circle.

4. Enclose a small trapezoid for the light on the front of the truck. Band the front of the hood with a vertical line and several horizontal lines to form the grill. Draw rectangles behind and below the cab.

5. Extend a long curved line from behind the cab and double it back on itself, forming an exhaust pipe. Draw a "C" shaped line at the end. Behind the cab, outline a "C" shape and draw two circles under it.

6. Draw a smaller circle in each of the circles, forming the wheels. Enclose a rectangle behind them, a triangle above, and the irregular shape of the dump bed.

7. Use a rectangle and a teardrop shape to draw the truck's side mirror. Embellish the side of the dump bed with three parallelograms.

8. Draw another small circle inside each wheel. Use a long curved line to enclose a load atop the dump bed, and texture the load with curved lines.

9. Draw a small cloud of smoke above the exhaust pipe. Band the rectangular tank on the side with vertical lines. Shade small ovals to decorate the wheels.

Your dump truck outline is now complete. Color your vehicle. Construction vehicles like this one are often painted yellow, but they can come in any color.
