Do you like snakes, or do you find them scary? Do not fear, you can learn to craft this snake face and head drawing.

Snakes are amazing animals that have fascinated us for millennia. There are about 3,000 different kinds of snakes in the world, but only about 600 of them have venomous fangs like the one in our drawing.

Besides its fangs, what else do you notice about our snake sketch? It has a forked tongue that flicks out of its mouth in different directions. It uses its tongue to "smell" its surroundings, looking for signs of food or danger.

Who is your favorite cartoon snake? Is he cute and cuddly or frightening and ready to strike, like the one in our drawing?

A few classic examples of snakes in animation include Sir Hiss from Disney's Robbin Hood and Kaa from The Jungle Book.
