How to Draw a Great Looking Azalea for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the cartoon azalea outline by sketching a "Y" shaped stem. Use pairs of curved lines to draw the branching stem. At the top of one of the branches, enclose a teardrop-shaped petal.

2. Draw more petals above the first. Use curved lines to enclose the wavy teardrop shapes. The petals should center around a point just above the first petal.
Notice that the subsequent petals are not fully enclosed.

3. Enclose the final petal using a pair of curved lines that meet at a point. Then, draw the stamens and their pollen-bearing anthers.
Extend five curved lines from the center of the flower and then enclose a small circle or oval at the end of each. Begin the next flower by using a curved line to sketch the first petal.

4. Use another curved line to complete the heart-shaped petal, overlapping at the center of the flower and forming a point at the opposite end.
Then, use pairs of curved lines to draw four more petals. All petals should be positioned around a central point.
