How to Draw an Easy Realistic Cow

1. Begin the easy, realistic cow outline by drawing the animal's face. Use a long curved line that doubles back on itself at the bottom to sketch the front of the face.

Use two short curved lines to enclose the almond-shaped eye and another for the eyebrow above it. Shade a large circle inside the eye.

2. Use curved lines to draw the curved, triangular horns, the pointed ear, and the lower jaw. Shade a small, wavy triangle to form the nostril.

3. Draw a series of lines that overlap in a "Y" like pattern, beginning at the jaw. These form the neck, chest, and front of the leg. Then, detail the ear, snout, and face with short lines.

4. Enclose an irregular rectangle to form the hoof. Then, draw long, overlapping lines for the back of the leg, the belly, and the front of the rear leg.

5. Draw a triangular hoof on the rear leg, then extend a long, curved line from the hoof to the back of the head, sketching the back of the leg, rump, and back.

Extend a curved line from the front leg to begin the remaining front leg.

7. Draw the rounded, triangular hoof and complete the leg with a long line. Extend a pair of long, curved lines from the rump to form the tail.

Use a series of lines of different lengths that meet at jagged points to enclose the tuft of fur at the tip of the tail.

8. Use long curved lines to enclose large spots on the cow's face and body.

9. Enclose smaller spots on the body and legs.
