1. Begin the Mr. Potato Head outline by drawing his large eyes. Draw two ovals, and band each one with a curved line to indicate the eyelids. Shade an oval-shaped pupil below it. Then, enclose the curved eyebrows up above.

2. Use overlapping curved lines to form the irregular shape of the nose. Extend long lines from each side, and connect them with a wavy, scalloped line. This is the mustache.

3. Use two curved lines for the open mouth and lower lip beneath the mustache. Use a long curved line to outline the potato, and enclose round ears on each side.

4. Contour inside the ears with curved lines. Use two more curved lines to draw the brim and crown of the hat on top of the head.

Erase a small portion of the side, then draw a "C" shaped line. This will become Mr. Potato Head's shoulder.

5. Draw two curved, parallel lines for the arm. Use additional lines for the wrist, hand, and fingers.
