How to Draw Speed Skating

1. Sketch a dome that's flat on the left side. Draw two ovals underneath, then sketch a backward L-shape between the ovals. Add a curve beneath the nose.

Outline the face with a curvy triangle.

2. For the ear, draw an oval and a curve. Sketch a narrow rectangle beside the ear and a larger rectangle on the helmet. Add a horizontal line beneath the ear and strap and a curve behind the ear.

Draw curves for the shoulders, then sketch a curve and dash below the head.

3. Outline the right arm with a vertical line and V-shape. Draw long, narrow cylinders for the fingers, then add dashes inside the palm.

4. Sketch the left arm with long curves. Use four overlapping cylinders for the fingers.

5. Draw curves near the left wrist and shoulder. Add a diagonal line and large C-shape on the left, then outline the chest with more curves.

6. Outline the front leg with a vertical line and rounded V-shape. For the skate, draw an oblong triangle with a curve on the ankle and dashes on the bottom.

7. Repeat the previous step for the back leg. Sketch a rectangle underneath the skate that you drew earlier.

8. Add another rectangle beneath the other skate. Draw curves and small rectangles inside the skates for added detail.

9. Draw two curved rectangles behind the head. Sketch dashes inside the body, then add curves around the skates.

Outline your easy speed skating drawing with a black pen or marker. Erase the pencil lines after the ink dries.

Color your speed skating figure with your favorite hair and skin color. Make the outfit blue with red gloves, then use red and white for the helmet and skates. Add bluish-grey for the ice and blades.

Make the goggles dark grey with a blue strap. Color the rest of the background blue.
