Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing the CN Tower

How to Draw a Great Looking CN Tower for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the CN Tower outline by drawing two straight, horizontal lines at the bottom of the page. Extend two long, very slightly curved lines upward. The lines should converge but should not meet.
Draw a curved line across the top of them, and another curved line around that to create an oval shape. Then, extend two short curved lines upward.
Drawing Step 2

2. Draw a horizontal, curved rectangle above the structure, and connect it to the rest of the tower with short straight lines.
Band this rectangle and the viewing platform below it with curved lines. Then, extend two straight, vertical lines for the top of the rectangle.

Drawing Step 3

3. Enclose two curved rectangle shapes on top of the previous rectangle, crossing over the vertical lines.
On top of the lines, draw a curved, irregular hexagon to connect them. Band it with a curved line, then draw a tall, narrow triangle on top.
Drawing Step 4

4. Draw two vertical lines across the bottom half of the tower. Band the bottom of the observation platform with short, straight lines.
Beside the tower, draw two rectangles, one inside the other. Enclose a half-circle on top of them. This is Rogers Centre, a baseball stadium for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Drawing Step 5

5. Draw another curved line inside the semicircle, and three rectangles on the front of the stadium.
Band these with vertical lines, forming doors. At one side of the building, draw a series of curved lines to form trees.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw two more rectangles on the opposite side of the tower. Use a series of curved lines to create trees, and draw horizontal rectangular windows on the taller building.
Drawing Step 7

7. Draw rectangles on the front of the remaining building, and more trees. Then, use a series of straight lines to sketch the skyline in the distance.
