Drawing Step 3
3. Draw curved lines above each eye for the eyebrows and between them for the nose.
Use additional curved lines to enclose the mouth below the nose and the tongue within it, and to contour the side of the mouth.
Drawing Step 4
4. Use a long curved line to enclose the turtle's round head. Don't connect the ends of the line, but draw two connected curved lines in the gap. This is like a tuft of hair on the baby's head.
Drawing Step 5
5. Use a long curved line to enclose a gently pointed shape behind the turtle's head. This is its shell. Then, use a curved line to draw the edge of the shell.
Drawing Step 6
6. Draw the sea turtle's flippers. For each flipper, extend a curved line from the body and double it back on itself.
Then draw a long line between the front and rear flippers on one side. This indicates the turtle's belly.
Drawing Step 7
7. Texture the turtle's shell. Band the edge with curved lines and draw pointed shapes on the shell.

Sea turtles are amazing animals. You can add one to your sketchbook with the help of this easy, step-by-step baby turtle drawing guide.
Sea turtles are reptiles, just like lizards and snakes. They have scaly skin and lay eggs. They also have a characteristic armored shell.

Did you know? Sea turtles are different from “land turtles". They have flippers instead of legs. They also cannot draw their heads and limbs entirely inside their shells to hide.
This turtle might remind you of the young sea turtle Squirt from Disney's Finding Nemo. You can recreate your favorite scenes when you learn how to draw Nemo. You can add this Dory drawing, too.
