How to Draw a Cartoon Cookie

1. Begin the cartoon cookie outline by drawing a long wavy line. The line should form one side of a circular shape but bend at a 90-degree angle on one end.

2. Continue the long, wavy line in an oval shape until your sketch looks like a large letter "G."

3. Continue the wavy line and allow it to meet near the other end of the line. This encloses the entire oval shape of the cookie with a bite taken out of it.

4. Use a long wavy line around the bite mark to give the cookie a three-dimensional appearance.

5. Draw disconnected wavy lines parallel to one side of the cookie, continuing to add to its three-dimensional appearance. Then, enclose a rounded diamond shape on top of the cookie. This is a chocolate chip - or perhaps a raisin, depending on your favorite recipe.

6. Draw more irregular rounded shapes on top of the cookie, indicating more morsels baked into its surface.

7. Draw a few more rounded, irregular chocolate chip shapes on top of the cookie.

8. Draw a few more rounded shapes on top of the cookie and a line across the bite mark. As you will see in the next step, this will give it texture

9. Draw more curved lines across the cookie's bite, texturing it.

Your cartoon cookie outline is now complete. For a standard chocolate chip cookie, color the cookie itself a golden brown with dark brown chocolate chips.

You can get creative - use purple for raisins, dark red for dried cranberries, or color the cookie black with white chips for a double chocolate treat.
