Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Cruise Ship

How to Draw a Great Looking Cruise Ship for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the cartoon cruise ship outline by drawing the ship's hull. Use a series of connected curved lines to enclose the roughly triangular shape.
Notice the waves of water at the bow and the rectangular indentation at the top of the hull.
Drawing Step 2

2. Draw a long line across the top of the rectangular indentation. Then, draw the front of the towering upper decks. Draw a "Z" shaped line on one side, and enclose the rectangular shape in front of it.
Contour the near side of the decks with a curved line. Draw a long curved line above the decks, and connect them with shorter lines.

Drawing Step 3

3. Draw the windowed bridge from which the captain steers the ship. Draw two parallel curved lines above the previous curved line.
Connect them on the ends, and draw straight lines between them to give the bridge a three-dimensional aspect.
Enclose a curved rectangle on top of the bridge, and use a series of curved lines to enclose another rounded shape around it.
Drawing Step 4

4. Draw vertical lines across the windows of the two decks of the bridge.
Then, draw a series of rectangles and curved rectangles parallel to the hull of the ship. Draw straight lines from the corners of the rectangles to the hull.
Drawing Step 5

5. Across the front of the decks, below the bridge, draw long, narrow, curved rectangles.
Draw horizontal lines along the side of the ship to separate the various decks. Beneath the straight rectangles, draw vertical lines as well.
Drawing Step 6

6. Use curved lines to enclose a series of rounded shapes atop the decks.
Drawing Step 7

7. Draw curved rectangles along the rounded shapes and the side of the hull.
