3. Use curved lines to complete two more leaves, partially hidden by the others. Then, begin work on a second palm tree.

Again, use short curved lines that meet at sharp points to indicate vegetation at the base of the tree. Then, draw a long curved line to begin the tree's trunk.

Drawing Step 4

4. Draw another long line, parallel to the previous one, to complete the trunk. At the top, use long and short curved lines to draw the large leaves.

Drawing Step 5

5. Draw the final leaf of the second tree. Then draw two curved rectangles around each tree, erasing as necessary. These are the roles that hold up the hammock. Then, draw the hammock itself.

Started with a narrow rectangle with rounded corners. Then use two curved lines that don't quite meet to form the triangle shape of the hammock.

Drawing Step 6

6. Extend parallel lines from each tree, and draw a ring at each end. Then, draw another narrow rectangle and complete the hammock with a curved line. Draw three "U" shaped lines under each bar.

Drawing Step 7

7. Draw four straight lines from each bar to the ring. Decorate the hammock with stripes using curved lines. Then, draw the shore using two long, curved lines that pass behind the trees.

Learn More About The Hammock Drawing

Lazy days call for a way to relax. You could spend some time in a hammock, or you could draw one. This easy, step-by-step hammock drawing guide can lead you there.

A hammock is a piece of furniture similar to a bed or chair. Hammocks are portable because they're made of cloth. They can be rolled up, carried around, and hung from trees or poles.

This hammock is hanging from a palm tree drawing, but you could hang your hammock from the trees in a forest, too.
