How to Draw a Hammock

1. Begin the hammock outline by drawing a palm tree. First, use curved lines that meet at sharp points to indicate the grass at the base of the tree. Then extend two curved lines upward to sketch the trunk.

2. Next, draw the large leaves. Use long curved lines for the tops of the leaves and a series of shorter curved lines for each leaf's bottom.

3. Use curved lines to complete two more leaves, partially hidden by the others. Then, begin work on a second palm tree.

Again, use short curved lines that meet at sharp points to indicate vegetation at the base of the tree. Then, draw a long curved line to begin the tree's trunk.

4. Draw another long line, parallel to the previous one, to complete the trunk. At the top, use long and short curved lines to draw the large leaves.

5. Draw the final leaf of the second tree. Then draw two curved rectangles around each tree, erasing as necessary. These are the roles that hold up the hammock. Then, draw the hammock itself.
