Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Lego Person

How to Draw a Great Looking Lego Person for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the Lego person outline by drawing his face. Use two curved lines to outline the bottom of the hair and face. Between the lines, shade two ovals for eyes and draw a curved smile.
Drawing Step 2

2. Use a series of curved lines to enclose the Lego minifigure’s plastic hair. Extend two short, straight lines below the head and connect them with a curved line. This is the Lego man’s neck.

3. Use straight lines to enclose a rectangle around the base of the neck. Then, use a long curved line to enclose a curved shape. This is the minifigure’s arm.
Next, extend straight lines to continue drawing his trapezoid-shaped, three-dimensional body.
Drawing Step 4

4. Use a series of curved lines to draw the “C” shaped hand. Notice the lines outlining the wrist and the three-dimensional edge of the hand. Also, note the straight line forming the edge of the hand.
Drawing Step 5

5. Draw the remaining arm and hand using a series of long curved lines.
Drawing Step 6

6. Finish the hand. Notice how the overlapping lines and those parallel to the edges make it look 3D.
Then, enclose the bottom of the torso with straight lines, and enclose another small shape parallel to it. This is the top of the Lego man’s legs.
Drawing Step 7

7. Use curved and straight lines to sketch the minifigure’s leg. The top of the leg is a partial cylinder, and the front of the leg is a square.
