Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing Lego

How to Draw a Great Looking Lego for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the Lego outline by drawing a slanted square. This will be the top of the Lego brick. Draw a rectangle and a parallelogram on its sides, turning the square into a cube. Then, draw two cylinders on top.
For each, start with an oval, and draw a curved line below it. Connect them with straight lines, erasing as necessary.
Drawing Step 2

2. Draw two more cylinders on top of the cube, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each. Then, draw a second block. Use straight lines to enclose a cubelike rectangular prism.

Drawing Step 3

3. Draw two cylinders on top of the rectangular prism, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each. Use straight lines to begin sketching another rectangular cube.
Drawing Step 4

4. These blocks are connected, so draw another cube on top of the first. Draw the short, squat cylinders on top of the lower brick, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each.
Drawing Step 5

5. Draw four small cylinders on top of the upper brick, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each. Then, use straight lines to outline the sides of two more bricks.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw four small cylinders on top of the uppermost brick, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each. Then extend straight, vertical lines upwards, forming the sides of another brick.
Drawing Step 7

7. Draw four cylinders on top of the brick, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each. Use straight lines to enclose the square top of the brick around them.

8. Draw a tall, rectangular brick in the background. Use straight lines to enclose the partial rectangle as well as the prism’s sides.
Enclose two cylinders near its top, again using an oval, a curved line, and two straight lines for each.
Complete the Outline of Your Lego Drawing - Step 9

9. Finish drawing the eight cylinders on the large brick. One of them is mostly hidden by the other blocks.
