Drawing Step 3

3. Sketch two dashes between the eye sockets. Use rounded teardrop shapes for the teeth underneath. Make sure the shapes overlap for realism like you're drawing a cartoon skull.
Drawing Step 4

4. Sketch loops underneath to start the bottom row of teeth. Draw curves on either side of the teeth to outline the realistic skull face. Add more teardrop shapes with uneven bottoms for the rest of the teeth.
Drawing Step 5

5. Repeat the previous step to draw the rest of the bottom teeth.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw a dome for the top of your cartoon realistic skull. Sketch lines on either side of the teeth.
Drawing Step 7

7. Sketch a loose W-shape underneath the teeth for the jawbone. Draw two dashes above this line, then connect the shape to the rest of the jaw. Add more short lines around the head.

9. Draw squiggly lines throughout the face to make the skull look cracked.
Color Your Realistic Skull Drawing

Finally, outline your cartoon realistic skull with a black marker or pen, then color the skull off-white with darker shades for the inside of the skull. Yellowish-white looks more realistic than plain white because it makes the skull look aged. Leave the teeth white so that they stand out.

Professional artists draw skulls because they teach you about human anatomy. You can draw a realistic face, but the head could look oddly shaped if you don't know much about the bone structure underneath.
Drawing skulls in different positions, such as skulls in profile, teaches you how to draw heads at different angles.
Many people think that skulls and skeletons are spooky, which is why they make popular Halloween decorations.

Others merely see skulls as a normal part of the human anatomy. In any case, you can sharpen your skills and create a spooky character at the same time.
Find a pencil and a few blank sheets of paper so you can draw your cartoon realistic skull. Leave the background white, or draw your skull in a colorful setting. Skulls often appear in graveyards and witches' lairs.
