Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Scuba Diver

How to Draw a Great Looking Scuba Diver for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the cartoon scuba diver outline by drawing the head. Enclose an irregular peanut shape with a slightly larger shape parallel to it, surrounding it. These are the goggles.
Extend a long curved line in a partial circle, forming the head. Draw horizontal lines from the goggles to the back of the head, forming the strap.
Drawing Step 2

2. Use curved lines to enclose the top of the face, ear, and bottom of the face. Draw an oval where the mouth should be. This is the regulator the diver breathes through.
From it, extend a pair of curved lines in a "J" shape, forming the hose. Erase as necessary.

3. Use curved lines to enclose the diver's neck, torso, belt, and shoulder straps of the scuba gear.
Drawing Step 4

4. Extend two long curved lines from the torso, connecting them at the end to form the arm. Then use a series of curved lines that double back on themselves to enclose the hand and fingers.
Drawing Step 5

5. Extend two curved lines from the opposite side of the torso, then use overlapping curved lines to draw the diver's hand.
Drawing Step 6

6. Extend curved lines from the belt, forming the hips. Use curved lines to enclose the scuba tank on the diver's back and band it with a stripe.
Drawing Step 7

7. Use long curved lines to trace the diver's leg. At the end of the leg, use a series of curved lines that meet at points to enclose the irregular shape of the flipper. Texture the top of the flipper with curved lines.
