Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Easy Spider
How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Spider for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the easy spider outline by drawing a large circle. This will form the spider's abdomen. Then, draw two partial ovals below it. These form the spider's thorax.
Drawing Step 2
2. Next, draw the spider's eyes. Draw two large ovals inside the lowest oval. Then, draw two smaller ovals inside each, and shade around them.

Drawing Step 3
3. Use curved lines to enclose two rounded triangle shapes below the face. These are the spider's chelicerae or mouthparts. From the middle oval, extend pairs of parallel lines on each side. These begin the spider's eight legs.
Drawing Step 4
4. Attach each pair of lines at the end, then extend another pair of lines at an opposite angle from each. This forms the next segment of the leg. Then, connect each pair again and draw a smaller segment.
Drawing Step 5
5. Extend two more pairs of long, parallel lines, just above the first pairs. From the ends of the lines, extend lines at a different angle, forming the next leg segment.
Drawing Step 6
6. Band the leg joints with short lines and enclose the short "foot" segments. Then, draw two more pairs of lines above the previous pairs.
Drawing Step 7
7. Connect the lines and draw the next segments, this time working up instead of down. Draw another pair of lines just above the previous pair.
