How to Draw a Great Looking Burj Khalifa for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the Burj Khalifa outline by drawing two straight, horizontal lines across the bottom of the page. Then, draw a series of four rectangles of different sizes to form the base of the building.

2. Draw a cube in line with the rectangles. Then, draw two horizontal rectangles on top, followed by three overlapping, vertical rectangles with curved tops.

3. Draw four more tall, overlapping rectangles.

4. Draw bands of curved lines across the front of the building, erasing between them.
Then, draw smaller overlapping curved-top rectangles above. At the base of the structure, draw a square with a horizontal line across it.

5. Band the building with three more sets of horizontal curved lines and erase between them. Then, begin drawing many curved lines across the front of the building, indicating the windows of the 163 floors.

6. Draw curved lines across the building, all the way to the very top. You can count them if you want to!
Then, beside the building, draw two vertical lines. Connect them with a wavy line on top. This forms a separate structure.

7. Use curved lines to sketch some trees and shrubbery at the base of the Burj Khalifa, erasing as necessary. Band the smaller building with pairs of wavy lines, and enclose two curved rectangles on top.

8. Draw more of Dubai's skyline in the background. Use straight lines to enclose rectangles, trapezoids, and irregular shapes. Note the vertical lines forming towers on top of some of the buildings.

9. Complete the picture by drawing clouds in the sky and using wavy lines to create waves on the water.

Your Burj Khalifa outline is now complete. Color the scene. The building is made from gray metal and the glass windows reflect the blue skies.
