1. Begin the parts of a plant outline by drawing the roots. Use long curved lines that meet at sharp points to enclose the branching structures.

2. Draw smaller side roots, erasing as necessary. Use curved "V" shaped lines or groups of lines that form a branching "Y" shape.

3. Extend a long curved line upward from the roots. This forms the side of the plant's stem.

4. Draw another long curved line loosely parallel to the first. This forms the other side of the stem.

5. Draw leaves on each side of the stem. Use two curved lines that don't meet for the leaf stems and veins, erasing as necessary. Then, enclose the teardrop-shaped leaves around them.

6. Draw more leaves, smaller ones near the top of the plant's stem. Again, use pairs of curved lines and a teardrop-shaped outline, erasing as necessary.

7. Draw a blossom at the top of the stem. A short distance above the stem, enclose a circle for the flower's center. Then enclose "U" shaped petals around it. Contour each petal with a short curved line.

8. Draw a drupe or berry-like fruit. Extend curved lines that meet in points to form a "Y" shape below one of the leaves. Then enclose overlapping round berries at the end of the stem.
