How to Draw a Great Looking Ruffles for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the ruffles outline by drawing a set of parallel horizontal curved lines, then extend two curved lines upward from one end of this band and connect these lines of the top with a "C" shaped line.

2. Draw two more sets of curved lines extending upward. Connect them - or nearly connect them - using a "C" shaped line.
Then draw "C" shaped lines facing the opposite direction to overlap and connect each of the existing "C" shaped lines.

3. Draw another set of two lines extending upward as well as a set of three lines to connect them and then connect the "C" and "W" shaped lines with additional "C" shaped lines.
