How to Draw a Cute Bird

1. Begin the cute bird outline by drawing its eyes. Use curved lines for the bottoms of the eyes and "U" shaped lines for the tops. Inside each eye, draw an oval with two smaller ovals inside it.

Shade around the smaller ovals to form the pupils. Draw a short line over each eye to form the eyebrows.

2. Draw a small oval under each eye to indicate the blushing cheeks. Then, use pairs of curved lines that meet at points to draw the top and bottom portions of the beak, and to detail inside the lower portion.

3. Use overlapping long and short curved lines to draw the head and chest. Notice how the shorter lines form the tufts of feathers on the top and side of the head.

4. Draw the wings using a series of connected "U" shaped lines. Then, use an "L" shaped line for the back and tail.

5. Use pairs of curved lines that meet at gentle points to form three large tail feathers. Enclose small, rounded triangles for the tops of the legs. Extend parallel lines below them, then use pairs of lines to create three toes on each foot.

6. Detail the feathers with curved lines, some of them connected in a series. Then draw the nest below the bird. Use a "C" shaped line for the center of the nest, and a series of connected, curved lines for the outer edge.

7. Finish outlining the nest, then use "U" and "V" shaped lines to texture it. Draw two long curved lines below it, allowing them to meet at a point. This is the tree branch that supports the nest.

8. Finish the branch, using curved lines. Then, extend curved lines from it and enclose teardrop-shaped leaves around them.

9. Draw one more leaf, then some musical notes to indicate the bird's song.
