How to Draw a Cute Chicken

1. Begin the cute chicken outline by drawing its face. Use overlapping curved lines to draw the beak, curled in a smile. Then draw the eyes. For each, draw a curved line, then enclose an oval on top. Draw two successively smaller circles inside the eye, and shade between them.

2. Complete the eyes, then use curved lines to draw eyebrows and eyelashes above them. Enclose a small oval below the beak, and use a long curved line for the bottom of the head.

3. Use a series of long and short lines to complete the head. Use short lines to form tufts of feathers at the sides of the face. On top of the head, enclose the fleshy comb.

4. Use a series of "U" shaped lines to draw a ruff of feathers around the neck. Then, use a series of lines to draw the feathered chest and a long line for the belly.

5. Use curved lines to finish the chest, to draw the folded wing and its feathers, and the back.

6. Use a series of short curved lines to draw the rounded shapes of the tops of the legs. Extend two lines beneath them, and use "U "shaped lines for the toes. Extend a long line to continue the body.

7. Use long, overlapping curved lines for the feathers of the tail, and finish the legs and toes.

8. Draw the remaining wing, raised and waving. Use a series of long, overlapping curved lines, and texture the feathers with additional lines.

9. Use long lines and "U" shaped lines to add additional texture to the wings.

Your cute chicken outline is now complete. Color your character. Hens come in many colors. Most are white, black, or brown. Some can be reddish, greenish, or even have a black and white checkerboard pattern!
