Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Cute Monkey
How to Draw a Great Looking Cute Monkey for Kids and Beginners - Step 1
1. Begin the cute monkey outline by drawing the animal's face. Start with curved lines - one for the nose and one below each of the eyes. Enclose partial ovals to form the eyes.
Draw three successively smaller ovals inside each, and shade between them. Draw short lines for eyebrows, and enclose the incomplete teardrop shapes of the nostrils below the nose.
Drawing Step 2
2. Use a series of long and short curved lines to enclose the face and ears. Notice the lines that meet at jagged points on the cheek, forming a tuft of fur. Use short lines to sketch the open, smiling mouth.

3. Detail each ear with two curved lines. Draw a tuft of fur on top of the head, using curved lines that meet at points. Connect the tuft to the ear, enclosing the head. Then, outline the face with three curved lines.
Drawing Step 4
4. Draw the body and arm. Use curved lines that meet at jagged points for the ruff of fur on the chest and the tuft at the top of the arm.
Drawing Step 5
5. Use curved lines to draw the fingers. Notice that the second hand is grasping something. Connect it to the body by drawing the arm. Use long curved lines for the sitting rear legs.
Drawing Step 6
6. Complete the hand and the banana it is holding. Notice the triangular shapes of the peel.
Drawing Step 7
7. Use overlapping curved lines to complete the legs and feet. Draw a straight line between the front and rear foot. Texture the banana and its peel.

Maybe we like monkeys because they seem so similar to us. Their eyes, ears, noses, and hands are more similar to ours than any other animal. They hold things in their hands like we do - such as the banana in this picture.
The main differences are the monkey's fur and prehensile tail, which is used like an extra hand. This monkey has his wrapped around the branch to keep his balance and hold on tight.
