Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Jackal

How to Draw a Great Looking Jackal for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the jackal outline by drawing the animal’s face.
Enclose an irregular round shape for the nose pad, and extend two curved lines from it to form the snout. Extend another curved line to form the lower jaw.
Then, use two curved lines that don’t quite meet at the corners to form the eye, and shade a round pupil inside it.
Drawing Step 2

2. Draw two round shapes within the nose pad to indicate the nostrils. Then, draw the top of the head using a long curved line and several short lines that meet at jagged points to give it a furry texture.
Draw the ears, using two curved lines for each - they should meet at gentle points. Contour the near ear with two curved lines. Enclose a round shape for the eye, and shade another round shape inside it.

4. Use a series of long and short overlapping lines to draw the leg and paw. Use a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points to sketch the top of the leg and the belly.
Drawing Step 5

5. Extend a long curved line from the neck to form the animal’s back. Then, use a series of long and short curved lines to draw the rear leg and paw.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw the remaining legs, again using long lines for the sides and shorter, overlapping curved lines for the toes of the paw.
Drawing Step 7

7. Complete the last paw, using short, overlapping curved lines. Then, begin drawing the jackal’s bushy tail. Use a series of curved lines that meet at jagged points.
