1. Begin the easy butterfly outline by drawing the insect’s body. Use a “C” shaped line for the head.

From one side of it, extend a long curved line and double it back on itself. Notice the bulges of the thorax and abdomen.

2. Draw the first set of wings. From each side of the thorax, extend a long curved line. Double it back on itself to meet the lower thorax.

3. Draw the second set of wings. Extend curved lines from the bottom of the first wings and attach them to the thorax. Then, begin decorating the first wing with curved lines.
