How to Draw a Simple Flower Outline

1. Begin the simple flower outline by drawing a circle. This will become the flower's center.

2. Draw petals around the center of the flower. For each petal, extend a curved line and double it back on itself in a "U" shape.

3. Draw more petals. Again, for each petal, extend a curved line and double it back on itself in a "U" shape.

4. Draw two more petals. Again, for each petal, extend a curved line and double it back on itself in a "U" shape.

5. Draw the final two petals, using curved lines that double back on themselves in "U" shapes.

6. Extend two long, curved, parallel lines from between two of the petals. This will become the flower's stem.

7. Draw pairs of curved lines extending from the sides of the stem. Erase the stem from between each set of lines, and allow them to meet at a sharp point. These will be the stems and veins of the flower's leaves.

8. Draw a teardrop shape around the leaf vein. Use two curved lines that meet at a point.

9. Draw the leaf around the remaining leaf vein. Again, use two curved lines that meet at a point to form the teardrop shape.

Your simple flower outline is now complete. Color your cartoon flower. Most plants have green leaves, but the blossom can come in many colors.

"Roses are red, violets are blue," and daisies like this one are often white with yellow centers. They can also be orange, red, pink, yellow, purple, green, and every shade in between.
