Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing an Easy Landscape with Perspective

How to Draw a Great Looking Easy Landscape with Perspective for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the easy landscape with perspective by marking a point in the center of your paper. From this vanishing point, draw six diagonal lines. You can use a ruler or straightedge to ensure they are perfectly straight.
The positioning of four of the lines creates a road with a line down the middle. Then, draw an “L” shape at the end of one line, and two vertical lines between the outermost diagonal lines. This will become a house.
Drawing Step 2

2. Erase the guide lines and complete the house. Use straight lines for the rectangular window, the rectangular fence, the edge of the roof, and the chimney. Enclose a small arched window on the gable.

Drawing Step 3

3. Draw another rectangular window on the side of the house. Use straight lines to draw a “+” shape across each window, and vertical lines to texture the fence slats.
Then, use a series of curved lines to create the crown of a tree and the trunk of a tree on the opposite side of the road.
Drawing Step 4

4. Use a series of connected curved lines to enclose the crown of the tree above the trunk.
Use a similar series of lines to draw a nearby bush and two smaller trees - trees that appear smaller because of the distance.
Drawing Step 5

5. Draw a wavy horizon line, and erase the triangular portion of the road between it and the vanishing point. Then, use curved lines to enclose another small tree, a lake, and a rounded rectangular dock.
Drawing Step 6

6. Texture the dock and the rippled surface of the water with short lines. Enclose a crescent-shaped boat and connect it to the dock with a curved line. Draw a “U” to enclose the support post of the dock.
Drawing Step 7

7. Draw wavy lines along each side of the road. Then, draw a cow grazing in the field.
