How to Draw a Great Looking Matilda for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin your Matilda outline by drawing Matilda's face. Use a curved line for the side of the face and "V" shaped lines for the nose and mouth. Shade small ovals on each side of the nose to indicate the eyes.
Drawing Step 2

2. Use a series of long curved lines, most of which don't connect to one another, to draw Matilda's bangs. Below the bangs, outline the rest of Matilda's hair, as well as the neck and remaining side of the face.

Drawing Step 5

5. Use a wavy curved line to enclose the bottom of Matilda's dress. Extend a curved line and double it back on itself to sketch her leg and foot.
Draw another leg passing behind the first. Band both legs with a curved line at the ankle.
