Step-by-Step Instructions for Drawing a Boston Terrier

How to Draw a Great Looking Boston Terrier for Kids and Beginners - Step 1

1. Begin the Boston terrier outline by drawing the dog's face. Use two curved lines to outline each almond-shaped eye, noting that the lines don't quite connect at the corners.
Shade a round pupil inside each eye, and use curved lines for the upper eyelids. Enclose an oval for the nose.
Drawing Step 2

2. Use curved lines to sketch the sides and top of the head, as well as the sagging jaws. Use short lines to contour the top of the nose and the nostrils.

3. Use long curved lines to enclose the dog's triangular ears. Contour the snout and lower jaw with curved lines.
Drawing Step 4

4. Use curved lines to contour inside the terrier's ears and to draw the chest and base of the head.
Drawing Step 5

5. Use a series of overlapping curved lines to draw the dog's chest, foreleg, and paw.
Drawing Step 6

6. Draw the remaining foreleg, again using a series of overlapping curved lines. Extend a curved line from the first leg to form the belly.
Drawing Step 7

7. Extend a long curved one from the base of the head to form the dog's neck, back, and the back of the rear leg. From the belly, extend another line to form the front of the rear leg.

9. Enclose the short, stubby tail using a "U" shaped line. Then, detail the patterns on the dog's fur.
Use curved lines to indicate the blaze on the middle of the face and band the legs with curved lines to form the "socks." Contour the neck with a short line.
