Enclose a round shape above each cheek. Shade the round pupil inside each eye. Then draw a semicircle for the open, smiling mouth.
Drawing Step 2

3. Some distance from the face, draw a pigtail. Use curved lines for the irregular shape of the hair with its jagged outer edge.
Use another curved line to enclose the hair elastic. Contour the end of the pigtail with a series of curved lines, some of which meet at sharp points.
Then, use curved lines to trace the nearly round shape of the hair on top of her head. Contour inside the ears and draw eyelashes using short lines.
Drawing Step 4

4. Extend a pair of lines to form the girl’s neck, and connect them with a “U” shaped line. Use additional curved lines to sketch her shoulder, sleeve, arm, and fingers.
Drawing Step 5

5. Complete the girl’s hand using overlapping curved lines. Then, use a series of lines to draw her remaining sleeve and arm. Enclose a round ponytail on the opposite side of her head.
Drawing Step 6

6. Use curved lines to enclose the rectangular shape of the torso, and overlapping lines to craft the remaining hand and finger.
Drawing Step 7

7. From the torso, extend two long curved lines to form the sides of the girl’s skirt. Draw the bottom of the skirt using an unconnected “C” shaped line.
From the skirt, extend a pair of lines to form the leg. At the bottom, use overlapping curved lines to enclose the irregular shape of the girl’s shoe.
