How to Draw a Fox Outline for Kids

1. Begin the fox outline for kids by drawing the animal's face. Use two curved lines to sketch the eye.

Inside it, draw two consecutively smaller circles and shade between them. Draw the oval-shaped nose, and extend two curved lines from it to form the snout.

2. Draw the remaining eye on the opposite side of the nose. Again, use two curved lines for the outside and two circles for the inside. Shade between them.

Draw a short curved line at the corner of the mouth, then extend a long curved line to form the neck and lower jaw.

3. Use two curved lines that meet at points to sketch each of the large, triangular ears.

Then use curved lines for the top and side of the head. Notice the jagged lines at the sides of the face that give it a furry appearance.

4. Detail inside the ears with long curved lines, parallel to the edges. Then draw a series of jagged curved lines to form tufts of fur.

5. Use overlapping curved lines to complete the furry chest and to draw the front leg.

6. Use another series of curved lines to draw the belly and the sitting rear leg. Use curved lines to detail the toes and the top of the foreleg.

7. Draw the remaining foreleg, extending a long curved line and doubling it back on itself. Use another long line for the back.

Use short lines to detail the toes and sketch the partially hidden remaining rear leg.

8. Use curved lines to add markings to the face and contour the bushy fur of the chest. Then draw the fox's bushy tail. Extend two long curved lines, then connect them with a series of short, jagged curved lines.

9. Draw zigzag lines across the tops of the fox's front legs, its rear paw, and the tip of its tail.

Your simple fox outline is now complete. Color your cartoon fox. Red foxes have reddish-orange fur with white and black markings. Silver foxes are black, gray, and red.
